Annascaul Walking Festival 2016

The Annascaul Walking Festival (organised by the Annascaul Walking Club) will take place over the October Bank Holiday Weekend (October 28th – 31st). Starting with a night walk on Friday 28th, the Festival also features a choice of several walks to suit all abilities on Saturday and Sunday. The walks explore both well known and lesser known historical routes on the Dingle Peninsula and incorporate the history and archaeology of the area.

Ballinclare Fair

Ballinclare fair takes place next Sunday 2nd October. The fair is a good family day out with a sheep show, best horse on the day, pet show, mutton pies, bouncy castle & lots more. It attracts crowds of people. There are stalls and all types of animals from horses to chickens to sheep. There will be a cake sale in the community centre held by the Annascaul ICA. You can enjoy a fantastic puppet show (children must be accompanied by an adult). Live music in all pubs.

Annascaul ICA

Annascaul guild have a busy couple of weeks ahead. On Thursday, 29th September they have a bobbin lace demonstration at 8pm in the Annascaul community centre. On Saturday 1st October they will have an ICA information stand in Orchard Lane, Dingle as part of the Dingle food festival. Marie O’Toole, National President of the ICA is visiting the food festival and we hope to welcome her to the stand. On Sunday, 2nd October we invite you to the community centre for a cake sale, bric-a-brac stall and plant sale together with a puppet show for accompanied children as part of Ballinclar Fair. Everyone welcome!

Annascaul Adventures

Annascaul Adventures are organizing a gentle family walk along the Annascaul River (River of Shadows). Why not come out and enjoy the friendly gathering. Meeting outside Joan’s Whileaway cafe at 10.30 and be back in time to enjoy the fair.

Congratulations to the 5th and 6th class of Scoil Bhreac Chluain of Annascaul, winner of the Radio Kerry’s Full breakfast Classroom Karaoke! Massive thanks to Barry’s Bakery – Bread & Confectionery – Tralee – Arán Gan Sárú great prize! Congratulations to Noel Flavive and Siobhán Gilfoyle who recently got married. We wish them a long and happy future together.
