Annascaul Christmas market set the mood for the festive season followed by the lighting of the Community Christmas tree. The Annascaul ICA hosted the Olde Christmas Shoppe which was packed with a wonderful selection of homebaking and festive gifts. Scoil Bhreac Chluain had their annual Christmas Carols in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Annascaul which was enjoyed by one and all. Annascaul Singing club held a special night in which was a great nights entertainment. Annascaul was well catered for over the holiday period with two discos and live music throughout the village. Annascaul rang in the New Year with the New Jersey pipe band who lead the parade through the village followed by the carrying of the sods. This event is growing in numbers each year as great numbers travel from all over to enjoy this unique experience.
