Ballinclare horse fair in Annascaul is said to be the oldest sheep & horse fair in Ireland.
The normally quiet village of Annascaul becomes thronged with people, traders and livestock for the revived Ballinclare Fair on these Sunday`s. Both sides of the village street are lined with trade stands with everything from saddles, clothing and tools to furniture, food and crafts on show and on sale.
 
Annascaul Village is in some regards considered the gateway village to the Dingle Peninsula.The fair is a great family day out. It attracts crowds of people. There are stalls and all types of animals from horses to chickens to sheep. Live music in all pubs, the famous Mutton Pies, various sheep shows etc. People come from all over Ireland and gather to enjoy the atmosphere of the day and buy and sell animals.
